Where Learning is an Adventure
Welcome from our Head of School
Thank you for your interest in our lovely school here in Mount Helen, Ballarat, on Wadawurrung Country. We are so fortunate to have an amazing spacious campus, rich in nature and abundant wildlife. We have beautiful gardens, generous, purpose-built classrooms, and dedicated teachers.
However, what really makes our school special is the children. From the littlest babies in our playgroup to our mature Year 6 students, our children learn to be kind and caring members of a community. Every day I see examples of this caring connection in action: children including each other in games, helping each other out with tricky learning tasks, checking in with a classmate who looks sad, celebrating each other’s achievements, singing for community groups. Positive relationships are a key to our success.
Working together with our families we provide an education that empowers children to be their best selves, in academics, practical skills, and in social and emotional development. Our rich Steiner curriculum gives children opportunities to learn about their place in the world, the wonderful diversity of humanity, and the way that humanity has developed through the ages. This strong grounding in knowledge across all curriculum areas, alongside robust literacy and numeracy skills, sets our children up for success in secondary schools and in life beyond school.
I’m immensely proud of our children, and of our dedicated and deeply caring teachers.
I invite you to come along on a tour of our school and see for yourself how a Ballarat Steiner Education will bring out the best in your child.
